Israeli authorities have arrested Alexander Gurevich, a dual Russian-Israeli citizen suspected of orchestrating the $190 million Nomad Bridge hack. The cross-chain protocol collapsed following the exploit, marking one of the largest crypto heists in recent history.

Gurevich, known by the alias "Block," was apprehended at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport while attempting to travel to Russia under a false identity. His arrest highlights a recurring pattern in crypto crimes—technical sophistication undermined by operational security failures.

The Israeli government is coordinating with US officials for his extradition. The case underscores mounting regulatory pressure to curb cross-border crypto fraud as exploits increasingly target bridge vulnerabilities.
